The Jeremy Mann solo show at the John Pence Gallery  this year is quite incredible.  I always look forward to this show every year but this year he has included a few drawings, a display of sketchbooks and costumes along with more than 60 pieces.  I don't think the man ever sleeps.

NYC 26.  One of my favorite works.  It is so abstract up close but you step away and it just captures the liveliness of the city at night.

Violet Rosette.  The edge work is this painting is so good.

Flora.  What he leaves out of the drawing and the line work...very cool.

Studies for a current figure painting.  Ink is a great way to simplify the forms because the moment you step over the "too much" line it all goes to hell and with ink there is no forgiveness unlike oil painting.  I think that's why I love it- Ink is so bloody honest.
